What are we doing?

Our Youth Exchange called ‘Digital Condom’ reflects on the raising need of up-to-date sexuality education in Central Europe. Our general objectives with the project were to strengthen the cooperation in our Red Cross Central-european Subregional Network, to learn about the modern challenges regarding mental and sexual health and to support external NGOs in building up local peer education networks. Through exchanging our knowledge, ideas and experiences, participants divided into 6 working groups of specific topics created several materials that can be easily spread among youngsters to be more aware of their online behavior. Balázs Beda

Project designer and learning facilitator

Balázs is a psychology student, specialized in clinical and health psychology. His main research topic is online sex-related communication of adolescence, focusing on erotica and abuse in cyberspace. As the leader of the sexuality education working group at the Hungarian Red Cross Youth, he also implemented his non-formal education experiences in the project.

Kata Biró

Project designer and learning facilitator

Kata holds her degree in psychology, specialized in developmental and child clinical field. She joined to the sexuality education working group of Hungarian Red Cross Youth in 2019 and also volunteers as an online counsellor so as to support teenagers regarding questions about sexuality.
